Please pray for Brennan...

This request comes from a friend of mine...

***

Hi everyone,

I am writing to request prayer for the grandson of a very good friend of mine, Charlotte. His name is Brennan, and he just turned eight a few days ago.

After a period of constant vomiting, he was admitted to the hospital. They really didn’t know what was going on with him medically, at that point, but shortly after he arrived at the hospital, he went into cardiac arrest. They discovered that his appendix had ruptured, and he was septic. He has had surgery to remove the appendix and another exploratory surgery to visualize his colon, because during the appendectomy, it appeared black in color. Thankfully, since the appendectomy, his colon has apparently begun healing, because it appeared healthy and pink in color during the exploratory surgery. He is in an ICU in a Mississippi hospital and is on paralyzing drugs to allow healing to take place. For a while, they were concerned for his life, but it seems that he is at least headed in the right direction for right now.

Please keep this little boy in your prayers as he has a very long road of healing ahead of him. Pray also for strength for his family as they are by his side at this time; pray also for wisdom for the doctors. Thanks in advance for your prayers and concern.

I will keep you all up to date as his condition progresses.
